We finally did it! We opened up a hobby shop. This has been something that has been a dream of mine for a VERY long time. Opening a hobby shop has been something that my grandpa and I have talked about for as long as I can remember, and it's finally happening because of all of you. If it wasn't for all of your support, this wouldn't be possible.
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jeff West. I have been passionate about the RC aviation hobby since I was two years old and flew for the first time. A good ol' Cox Lazy Bee. For about 20 years, I mostly flew RC planes. However, I would always try to fly helicopters. They were on the more expensive side of the hobby, and on top of that, everyone in the hobby around me flew airplanes. I didn't have anyone to help me learn how to fly helicopters. This is actually one of the reasons I started posting on YouTube, to help teach people some of the things that took me years to figure out. So, helicopters just weren't as accessible to me. When I was 7 years old, I "borrowed" my dad's GMP Cricket and learned to hover. When I was in my 20s, I got the Blade 300 CFX. That was what revived my passion for helicopters.
Since 2020, I have been posting on YouTube at least twice a week, but usually three times a week. Together, we have built a strong and passionate community. I consider many of you my friends and I feel so lucky to have the support that brought us to this: WestHobbiesRC Hobby Shop!!! A proud family owned business.
